Work for What You Love
If you're going to work for anything, work for what you love. Don't get me wrong, money is important. However, I would rather spend my time traveling, visiting family, exploring the other ends of the world or even surfing in Hawaii, than having to work 5 days a week. Well, you have to make money right? True.
NOT ALL WORK IS CREATED EQUAL
Not all "work" is created equal. It comes down to one thing. What are you doing with your time? How, specifically, are you currently creating income? If you happen to be trading 40 hours a week for a paycheck then currently, your income is tied specifically to the amount of hours that you can work in a week, not necessarily the quality of those hours. More importantly, do you love what you do?Let me start this with saying, there's no guarantee you're going to get RICH by doing what you love. No one ever said that would be the case. Maybe getting rich, isn't even your goal. If you're reading this, than you're probably not trying to get rich, you simply what to enjoy what you do every day. If you're okay with making $70,000/yr doing what you love and having full control of your life, DO THAT.
STOP WAISTING TIME DOING SOMETHING YOU HATE
Stop waisting time doing something you hate. I'm sorry, but life is just too short to do things that you don't even like doing. You may need to use your current job as a secure income to start, while you build the foundation of your business and/or passion. However, you need to define specifically what your end goal is and EXPECT not to make a million dollars your first year in business. There are only a few "Unicorns" out there, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, SnapChat, that became billion dollar companies. The numbers just aren't in your favor. What is more important is what your goals are. Technology has made it very attainable for the average person to start an online retail/service business "overnight". Meaning, in your down time, while you're working your 9-5, you can develop a business in the evening hours and/or during the weekends and the internet doesn't know the difference. Social Media and the Internet have made it possible to make connections and build businesses 24/7 across the globe.
That doesn't mean that you will be successful "overnight", but with these new technologies, you can build a business around YOUR PASSION.
